So as far as FAST FOOD goes it gets five stars from me every day. Service: Quick usually friendly and accurate. Cleanliness: clean and neat appearance as well as clean bathrooms. Quality: every order is fresh and made to order. Piping hot fries burgers ect. Good quality food as well, makes for always a tasty experience. Value: fair prices for the great quality. Plus the offer text coupons and email coupons. Great place to grab lunch or dinner. They have a good sized menu as well as awesome frozen custard for dessert. If you haven't eaten here yet, all I got to say is, What have you been waiting for?

A friend recommended this place so my other friend and I decided to give it a try. I guess I thought it was a real restaurant but it's not, it's fast food, pure and simple. Once I went inside I lowered my standards and hoped for the best. I ordered a Cheese Butter Burger while my friend got a Sourdough Melt (burger). We split chili cheese fries and deep fried cheese curds. First of all, nothing was hot. Secondly, everything needed salt. I mean EVERYTHING, even the burgers. Everything was very bland. The Butter Burgers are swimming in grease. I asked for extra pickles and asked for onions, neither happened. The cheese curds were bland and dry and didn't come with anything to dip them in. They are like mozzarella sticks, only chunks, and not good. Marinara sauce would've helped. Ranch dressing did not. The saving grace was supposed to be their fresh frozen custard. We picked out two pints and the cashier told me that it would be cheaper to buy 4 even though we didn't want 4 because 2 pints came to about $8 and 4 pints were about $9. They say it's their special deal but it's not and now I have a lot of frozen custard in my freezer that I don't want. We took our 4 custards back home and we sampled two. They were so bland we tried the other two. I was completely disappointed by all the excitement over this place. The double caramel chocolate peanut was the plainest vanilla flavor I've ever had, it wasn't really vanilla, it was white and it was sweet but flavorless. No caramel. Small amounts of chocolate bits her or there. 3 peanuts. The Caramel Fudge Cookie Dough was the same flavorless white custard but it had some caramel and cookie dough. It was okay at best. The Butter Brickle was more flavorful than the white custard but that's all I have to say about that. The last was a surprise and by far the best one but that's not saying much. It was the Really Reeces and it was chocolate custard that was good not great. It was overpriced for fast food that wasn't very good, most of it went in the trash and custard was pushed on me like it was a deal and now it's just taking up space in my freezer. Trash night can't get here soon enough. Ugh.

As far as fast food goes culvers has to be the best in the industry. Every time I come to this location in Royal Oak the service is always extremely friendly and the food is delivered fast and the quality is always exceptional.

This place surely amazed me.. Fast food prices but good restaurant experience! The staff is delightful, happy and polite. The place is clean, fresh and well kept. Food was excellent and they have patio seating. Frankly, my service and satisfaction was better than in several places where you pay over $100 for a dinner...Keep it up folks! Give yourself a pleasure of checking them out! Strongly recommended

Yea this is fast food sort of , yea they have a drive thru but I wouldn't call it fast, the food is pretty good but you pay a little more,, I do like it, the burgers are good with fresh toppings and I like there butter buns, they do come out with some good speciality burgers, they also have Wisconsin cheese curds, onion rings, and more, then there's the deserts they are great , concrete mixers, sunday's, shakes, custard they have a flavor of the day all good stuff, so yea Culvers is pretty great all but the crap load of money I spend when I go.

I LOVE Culver's! This Wisconsin based chain was a recent discovery for me, on a mini road trip through the States. The butter burger is amazing, very juicy and made fresh to order. I love the cheese bites option as a side, so delish! The freshly made dairy custard is a real treat for dessert as well! Service is very quick and friendly, they give you a number and bring your meal to the table. I am a big fan and can't wait to come back again when I am in the States.

Just want to put it out there that I am rating Culver's as a Fast Food restaurant. So while it may not be a Michelin Star rated establishment, given the competition in the category it is competing in, Culver's easily earns 5 stars. It used to be that Culver's was a special treat if I was driving to Chicago (has been one in Kalamazoo and also in Jackson area for awhile). However when this one in Madison Heights opened up a couple years ago, I was super excited to finally have a Culver's close to home. The food here is delicious every time, and the staff is always super friendly and helpful. It is a fast food restaurant but they bring your food out to you, and employees are always stopping by to see if you need anything, or if they can bus items from your table for you. And they always seem so genuinely happy. Not something I am accustomed to in a fast food restaurant! I don't get their deserts very often, though the custard is quite good. I usually stick to the food. My favorite items are the beef pot roast sandwich, the cheese curds, and the bacon deluxe butterburger. The bacon deluxe is available in a "snack basket" with small fries and drink for a great value, something like $4.50 (not sure on the exact price, but it is cheap). Butterburgers are super tasty, you can't say you've lived until you've tried one. Although once you've tried one, you can also see why so many people in this part of the Midwest (Michigan/Wisconsin) are so incredibly obese!!! Ha.

I am a Culvers Addict. Out of all of them that I have eaten at from Wisconsin to Michigan... the Madison Heights, MI is consistent in quality, cleanliness and awesome staff. The ONLY fast food worth eating....period.

It's no secret I love Culvers. This location is nice because it's very close to my parents home. It assures that we won't starve on the way to the one in Roseville. There isn't anything WRONG with the one in Roseville, just that it's very far away. As for this location, its very nice, the food is Culvers good. Be sure to get the Cheese Curds. Gross name, GREAT food. For Dessert, my favorite is the Turtle Sundae. Doesn't this make you want one?

Tried this brand for the first time Monday. The young woman taking the order was non-existent. She had no answers to any questions about the food. I would have been happier ordering from a touch screen. Lots of employees running around the place wiping tables and sweeping floors while I ate. The burger was just ok. Better than a Big Mac but not as good as a Red Robin. A little on the pricey side and not sure that in the end the extra price is worth what I got. I might or might not go back.

Pot Roast sandwich value basket last night. Good flavor, good service, great price. This was the 2nd time I tried Culver's and I can say that it is a solid option and a step above the run of the mill fast food greasery.

Pumpkin spice shake. All that needs to be said. Fine, fine, a real review. Culvers is something of a Wisconsin institution revealed to me when I first moved to Chicagoland, and it stands above the usual fast food joint. Expect to wait a little longer for food that actually gets cooked when you order, to order no less. Their specialty butter burger is essentially a juicy burger on a buttery bun, served with the works, cheese, or a number of different varieties. They also carry a pretty nifty beef dip, melts, a decent chicken sandwich, and the essential cheese curd. Deep fried, bad; squeaking cheese, good. I rarely if ever indulge in their curds because they're so unhealthy but delicious, oh sinfully delicious. But you don't come to Culvers just for the burger any more than you go to Cupcake Station for a cookie. Come for the custard and, particularly, the lemon ices doused in berries during the summer. Culvers does a pretty roaring trade in custard; their standard flavours include a changing array that might be peanut butter, Turtle, or chocolate explosion of numtasticness. It's a real flavour, just ask. Thick milkshakes you could bounce a straw off of are tempting, and their concrete mixers are aptly named because you need one of those mixer trucks to keep it from solidifying into a human sweet-lick. I warn you: never get the largest size or you will very likely be sick. Culvers does a mad job with their shakes, and the pumpkin spice shake ordered on an indecisive lark absolutely replaces the Starbucks version. It may be cold, not hot, but the flavour is like sipping down a pumpkin pie with none of the nastiness. They get the blend of spices just right. All I need is a crust. A small is ample if you're hungry; otherwise share, and fight with a spoon. Culvers has a neat job of using fairly open-mouthed lids where multiple straws and spoons can stud your prey like hunters gone wild spearing the carcass of a prize wildebeest. Good service, pretty yummy food, at a price point comparable to much worse places. They're nice to dine in, too, very clean and spotless service.

My opinion on this restaurant is clearly in the minority; I did not like it at all. Everyone talks about how great it is and based on what I heard, I was under the impression that is was more of a fast casual/quick service place than fast food...that is definitely not the case. It was very busy which I took as a good sign, but I am assuming that due to how busy it was, the staff could not keep up and it was very dirty. And I was not impressed with the food either. While the burger did taste good and I like the fluffy soft bun, I could not get over the amount of grease/butter coming off of it. Usually if I have a 'drippy' burger it is caused from the juiciness of the burger, not lard dripping off of the bun. It was so messy I wish it came with a person to feed it to me so I didn't have to touch it. I also ordered the cheese curds and the only word I would use to describe the flavor was 'fried'. Even the teenage boy eating with me was not impressed at all and could not believe how greasy it was. He did order custard as well and he said that it is the best fast food custard he has had, but what is that really saying? Well, I tried it...and I will not be coming back.

This was our first time to a Culvers, meeting some friends for lunch. The food was a great value. My husband, a burger lover said that was one of the best burgers he's had in a long time--for a fast food joint. Onion rings and cheese curds were hot, crunchy and tasty. I tried the smoothie and expected it to be made with a fruit syrup. It actually had delicious fresh blueberries and it tasted so refreshing that I know I'll be back for another one! The service was surprisingly friendly, patient, knowledgeable and they served us at our table, brought us spoons and did not expect a tip. We'll be back!

I had low expectations for this place because of who recommended it to me. I went here with my husband for dinner since we were in a rush. I had the pumpkin shake that was outstanding it was so creamy and had great flavor. The burgers are great for a fast food burger they are a but thin but all the flavors are there. The price is not too high for what you get. Their french frys were nice and fresh. We would go back if we needed something fast to eat.

I've been to a few Culvers as there is one by my home and this one happens to be by work. Since I first had Culvers I fell in love with the "butter burger". If you've never had one they are very tender, juicy and fresh. Team that up with their wonderful selections for dessert and you've got great options for lunch or dinner. This location stands out to me for their friendly, fast service. Are there meal options that maybe a little cheaper? Yes. The difference for me is being treated like a guest and not a dollar sign. You do have to wait for your order, but wouldn't you rather eat it freshly prepared or now? I have had a mishap or two with my orders but based on the average of how often I choose them over some place else it works out to a small margin. As I said the service stands out. If they do make a mistake , (and we're human so we all do), they are quick to correct it and very cordial about it. So if you haven't tried them you should. Or if another Culvers left a bad taste in your mouth so to speak, give these guys a try. Quality stuff served with a side of hospitality.

A group of 3 of us went there for the first time. We did know what to expect. We did check out the online menu so we knew what was available. We were not sure if this was a typical fast-food joint (they have drive thru) or if it was a sit down / waiter/waitress place. We go in around 6pm and they were semi-busy. A cashier pops out and says she can take us at her register. She very pleasantly takes our order, takes payment, gives us our drink cups and a plastic number plate to display at our table and says our food would be brought out to us. Our food was brought out in a very timely matter and was hot and good. We ordered burgers, fries, soup and grilled cheese. Everything was very good. Workers were pleasant and the price was pretty competitive as compared to typical fast food places. We'd definitely go back.

A fresh soft baked buttery bun stuffed with 2 seared ground beef patties, crisp strips of bacon, melted American cheese dripping off the sides of the burger, piled high with pickles, lettuce, vine ripe sliced tomatoes, thin cut red onions & mayo. OMG, it was so good, It tasted like Wendy's new improved burger on flavor steroids. The crinkle cut fries were OK, not the best compliment to the juicy burger. When your done placing your order they bring it to your table. On my next visit I may try the fish and one of those ice creams or the floats.

Finally! They have a Culvers closer to where I live! I used to live in Milwaukee so I've eaten many meals at Culvers. Their Butter-Burgers are to die for! *Drools* If you want to take it up a notch, try ordering a Butter-Burger on Sour Dough Bread. OMG you're in for a treat! If you dont feel like a burger, definitely try their fried chicken. Their chicken is way much better than any other chicken places. I cant finish this review though until I tell everyone about my new favorite item: Culver's Crispy Chicken Sandwich! They have the best tasting Chicken Sandwich I have ever had! Try it! (You can thank me later haha).

I praise the fast food gods for placing a Culvers not far from the house. Having tried most of the fast food chains, this one is number one (followed close by Sonic), Their cheeseburgers and onion rings are dangerously good.
